Bit-O-Heaven RV & Mobile Home Park is a 55+ community conveniently nestled in Donna, Texas in the Rio Grande Valley. Bit-O-Heaven’s property contains 160 Mobile Home Sites, 270 RV Sites and 326 Park Model Sites.

The Problem

Bit-O-Heaven RV Park in Donna, Texas was acquired by Sherwood Properties in March of 2016. While the existing 787-site mobile home and RV park maintained a popular camping experience with the lowest rates in the Rio Grande Valley, the new owners took on the challenge of resolving the park’s recurring pattern of vacancies. They recognized the necessity for reaching out to a broader customer base in order to pack their park with snowbirds and long-term residents.

The owners searched the web to find a full-scale web marketing firm that had a proven track record of success in the RV park industry. They discovered Big Rig Media, and became immediately impressed by their bold website, their extensive portfolio and knowledgeable experts. They retained Big Rig Media immediately.

The Solution:

A discovery meeting was promptly scheduled with Big Rig Media’s Founder and Business Growth Expert, Jeff Beyer, followed by a logistics meeting with Project Manager, Rosalind Ashburn. Having a seasoned background in the RV industry, Jeff was immediately able to offer a full-scale marketing approach specifically targeted for snowbirds, winter Texans seeking warmer Texas climates, and potential new mobile home residents.

Logo & Website Design

The first plan of action was to rebrand Bit-O-Heaven RV Park with a striking logo and a 55+friendly website, equipped with easy navigation and strong SEO. The website was designed to highlight a broad range of on-site amenities and activities, while also providing a directory of long-term residential sites for sale.

Rosalind Ashburn worked with the owners of Sherwood Properties every step of the way, providing guidance and detailed updates during each phase of the project. As a result of working closely with Big Rig’s team of experts, the owners achieved their goal of building brand awareness and ultimately, achieving new customers.

Online Marketing

In November of 2017, Jeff Beyer implemented the next phase of Bit-O-Heaven’s business-growth by devising a tactical Facebook, Google and Instagram marketing agenda. This approach, along with other key marketing strategies, resulted in remarkable lead-generation, significantly increased tourist bookings and long-term residencies.

Since November of 2017, Bit-O-Heaven’s clientele has increased by more than 12%. They now boast that their sprawling campground located in the quaint town of Donna, Texas, has become a thriving tourist destination, with nearly full, year-round bookings. In fact, the owners have cancelled most of their former print advertising due to the success of Big Rig Media’s powerful lead generation tactics.

Not only has Big Rig developed an eye-catching logo and website for our community, they have also helped us increase our occupancy an additional 12% over last year utilizing Facebook lead generation advertising.
